Our fine Amish pieces are crafted of Northern Red Oak, 1/4 Sawn Red and White Oak, Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple or Hickory. Amish prefer these hardwoods because of their exceptional durability. Our Amish craftspeople take additional steps to ensure your piece will last a lifetime. The wood is first kiln-dried for strength. Then the woodworker laboriously applies on of our many available hand-rubbed stains. Lastly the piece is cured with an application of a high quality finish.
